Where Can I Teach

"Within two weeks of deciding that I wanted to teach abroad in an international school, I was hired by a school in Dubai, UAE. The only way this this was made possible is due to the expedient, professional and friendly service provided by Educators Overseas. They provided me with the information and the opportunity to see what is out there for me, then acted as liaison between myself and the school, ensuring that I recieved the same support from the school. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for Educators Overseas."
-- Erin W., teacher from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Educators Overseas only places teachers in non-English speaking countries. As such, we are unable to help teachers who wish to work in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. Furthermore, while we try to place every teacher in an international school in a region they wish to work in, flexibility in this regard is a prerequisite for applying to teach or be a school administrator overseas. Teachers tell us their regional preferences when they apply, but may receive--and should consider--job offers from schools anywhere in the world.

Below is a regionally organized list of the non-English speaking countries home to at least one international school, although some have as many as ten. Also noted are positive and negative generalizations about each region from a living/teaching perspective. Be aware, these are very generalized qualities observed by some Westerners who have lived in the regions and are by no means meant to stereotype a country or region in one way or another. Every person living in a country will have their own unique experiences and perspectives.

There are hundreds of international schools all over the world, with new schools opening up each year. International schools are usually located in the capital city of each country and in other major cities in the country. Click here to find out more about each country or region, including national facts and geographic location.
