Health Matters: Travel Health Insurance
In Asia, qualified medical staff is in plentiful supply. The major cities all have foreign run hospitals with English Speaking doctors that are equipped to handle most any medical emergency. There are also Public Run Hospitals that have VIP wards that will staff English Speaking Doctors. In addition, some of the schools have on site clinics that will be able to handle minor medical incidences.
Although most schools provide teaches with health insurance, some do not, and some teachers might want to purchase a supplemental policy for such complicated health matters as evacuation to your homeland should something go drastically wrong health-wise, or “repatriation of remains” (shipping your body back to your home country), should (God forbid!) anything happen to you in country.
