Teach on the Beach in Abu Dhabi!
The Job
Certified Elementary teachers and high school English teachers with at least a year of teaching
experience are needed to teach in all-girls and all-boys schools in
beautiful, seaside Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The UAE is revamping their education system and needs
qualified teachers from the U.S., U.K., Canada, South Africa, Australia,
and New Zealand to help. This ground-breaking opportunity is your chance
to truly make a difference. You'll be teaching in English at all-English
speaking schools, so you don't have to know any foreign language.
That said, you'll be teaching the local curriculum (teaching
guides are provided in English) to children for whom English isn't
their first language. So we're looking for teachers that have a good
dose of flexibility, patience, and creativity.
The benefits package for this particular international teaching position
is exceptional!
- $40,000 - $50,000 tax-free salary
- Private Housing
- Furniture/settling in allowance
- Round Trip airfare from your home country for you and your family
- Health Insurance
Please note that tuition for dependents is not provided, as these are local,
public UAE schools. In addition, due to visa restrictions you must be legally married to
an accompanying partner.
The teaching contract is for 2 years. Interviews will be held during the last two weeks of June
in Los Angeles, Orlando, New York, and London.
The City
Abu Dhabi, officially an island, just happens to be the richest city
in world, and their lifestyle and amenities reflect that. In fact,
while the UAE might be considered the "middle east", the entire
country, and Abu Dhabi in particular is more akin to Miami than Mosul.
With excellent international restaurants, water-sports, and 360
days of sunshine each year your stint here will seem more like a 2
year long vacation than a teaching job. Everyone speaks English,
you can wear shorts, and most likely anything you had in your
home country you can find here (minus crime!)--from satellite TV and
internet to health clubs and spas. Google "Abu Dhabi" to find out more
about the city, or visit their tourist website.
